Neuromuscular Therapy
(a.k.a. Myotherapy or Trigger-point therapy) applies concentrated finger pressure to "trigger points"-
painful irritated areas in muscles- in order to break
the cycle of spasm and pain. Trigger points are often caused by repetitive strain on a muscle or a
trauma that the muscle received i.e. Whiplash, sports
injuries, etc. This therapy
involves communication between the client and Therapist to help locate the trigger point and any
referred pain that is associated with them.
